Edward was always known for his ability to keep the guilt from his younger years with him at all times. Carlisle had once told him that his ability to feel was what made him different from all of the other vampires out there. Although his need for blood was only filled with the blood from the humans that preyed on those whom sough the relief and joy at seeing other's pain. That was why he only drank the blood of those who relished in pain such as murderer's and rapists. It was as though his body would reject the blood of the innocent and hunger for those who sought out that pain. But even though he believed that he was doing right he could not help but let the guilt creep inside of him, filling to the point that he actually felt like he was a monster. But staring at the reflection of himself in the mirror as he was not sure who was even staring back at him. He had never felt this hunger before, it was as though it was taking over him in a way that he had never felt before. Turning on the faucet as he let the cool water wash away everything, gazing down to the pools of blood that swirled in the porcelain sink. His hunt had not gone as expected, his mind too clouded with others things. Hearing someone approach in their car from the bathroom as he turned his attention back to cleaning himself up, he could not let anyone see him like this.
