Seth had been sat on the LA Push beach for several hours now, it was his time off. He would be on patrol later that evening. He should have been sleeping preparing for the patrol tonight. But he could not keep his eyes closed; he found it peaceful being at the water's edge, it it took him to a whole new place. For the rest of his life he would be in LA Push, he would never get the chance to go off and explore the world. Part of him wanted to leave and go everywhere and anywhere that he could. He wanted to see the 'Big Apple', London, Paris. But another part of him believed that he was doing the right thing by staying here and fulfilling his duty to the pack and to Jacob.
But here he was; sat on the beach as he had done so many nights before. Sometimes spending more time here that what he did at home. He preferred to come here alone. It allowed him time to think about everything. The sea just washed it away and took all his sorrows with him, but soon they would find their way back in.
He had been debating whether to go and see the Cullen's, he had yet to speak to Esme about those cinnamon rolls that he wanted so much. So much that he could smell them, taste them on his tongue. His mouth was watering at the thought of them, his mother Sue had tried to make them, but they were never as good as Esme's.
Would they be busy? He could pop over and see if Edward was free? He hadn't seen Jacob around for a while assuming that he too wanted to be left alone while he worked through the whole Nessa and Nahuel thing. But they didn't belong together, it was always going to be Nessa and Jake. That was how he saw it anyway, but did anyone listen to him? No!
He was just a kid in the packs eyes, but at least he wasn't the youngest anymore. He wasn't the kid anymore, although to Paul that would never change. And Leah was a different story.
He may have still been a kid, but he was a member of the pack. A protector against vampire...Well except the Cullen's.
