For the first time in almost a century, I felt hope.

*Sitting alone in the house while Alice was out shopping and running errands, I decided to go for a walk and possibly hunt. We had heard from everyone and they were all settled into their new homes, new lives. I wasn't even trying to hide my sadness from Alice, she could always see right through me. Being able to control other's emotions had it's perks, but I wish I could control my own. Catching a scent off to the right, I climbed up the tree and started jumping branches from tree to tree, towards my dinner. I jumped down and tackled the bear, sinking my teeth through the fur and skin, like a knife through butter*
*Drinking the last bit of my prey, I threw the carcass off me and into the forest floor. Smiling to myself, I knew Emmett would have been proud. I really missed my brothers and our time together. I knew we would all be together soon and I'm happy everyone is doing great in their new places. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and sent Emmett a text, telling him to visit soon. He would love the wildlife here.*
*I noticed the sun was setting, so I headed back towards the house. Alice would be home soon and I couldn't wait to have her back in my arms. I climbed the stairs on the front porch and opened the door. I caught Alice's scent and knew she had just gotten home. I walked to the bedroom and grabbed her into a tight embrace, burying my face in her hair. I kissed her forehead and let go. I asked about what she did and smiled as she started talking excitedly. I can get used to this private time we have together now, but I still miss everyone.*
