-We’d arrived in Edinburgh late at night and Jasper had arranged for one of our vehicles from Forks to be waiting at the airport and there it was. The drive through the Highlands had been beautiful, our conversation light and easy as we traveled the winding roads that often dipped and curved along Loch Ness. And just as the sun came up over the stony peaks of Ben Nevis, we approached the bridge that connected the Isle of Skye to the rest of Scotland, very close by Eilean Donan Castle. Incidentally, they had filmed portions of the first “Highlander” movie there. So breathtaking…..-
-Another two hours passed and we were pulling up the graveled driveway that eventually led to Greshnorish House. Getting out from the car, I took Jazz’s hand with one of mine and grabbed my overnight bag, flinging it over my shoulder. He smiled at me, held up the house key that had been left for us at the Real Estate office in the town of Dunvegan nearby. We were inside soon and without wasting any time, set about making this place ours. I only paused a few times, calling Bella, Rose and Esme to let them know we’d arrived and things were good.-
-By the time the sun set, we had the furniture I’d preordered and had delivered in place, our boxes unpacked and flattened, heaped up out back. Did I mention that our backyard was huge and led down to a small, man made loch that belonged to us? We stood there forever, it seemed, lost in thought, lost in each other, lost in our new surroundings and then I grinned wide as his face changed, head craning to the left with speed that would have broken a mortal neck. I’d caught the scent, too. Slipping my hand in his once more, I squealed in excitement and off we went to have our first…..bite out-
