Huilen heard the chirping sound of the cellular device Nahuel had insisted she get so that they may keep in touch on his journey. Answering the call after fumbling with the buttons for a while, sure they were in the twenty-first century but they'd lived so long without the newest technologies it was a bit to get used to. "Hello?" She said aloud first before seeing it connected then placing it to her ear. This was so different but she had to get used to it all if she were to be a woman of this time. The times were constantly changing and evolving and a new setting was due, she'd always wanted to travel and it was not until she met the Cullen family that she realized it were possible.
"Hello, Nahuel--is that you?"

He sat on the bed of the cheap hotel room he'd purchased after calling Carlisle that night to come get a drunkened Renesmee. Carlisle offered him residence but he politely refused. Seeing her like that, feeling the way he felt...he couldn't bring himself to be around her just yet. Why was fate constantly tempting him, enticing him to do things he normally would never do. The word got around town about Bella and the rest of the Cullens causing a scene at a reunion and he was instantly on high alert, wanting to ask what had happened but no one knew he was in town. Not yet at least, only Carlisle but he'd never speak a word of it. Holding his cell to his ear he sighed heavily but smiled at his aunt's lack of technology.
<Yes Huilen, it is I. I don't know how I'm supposed to do this. I can't tell her how I feel, not knowing how she feels about that wolf. What if her heart is his, what if they are destined. Could I mess up her happiness for my petty crush>

She chuckled and stood atop the tree looking out at the rising sun coming up over the horizon of the clouds. "Nahuel, don't be a fool. Destiny doesn't mean it will be spelled out and simple. Sometimes we must fight for what we truly desire. Even if it isn't fated, wouldn't you rather she know than be in the dark about your feelings?"
Taking a seat on the high branch she were standing on a blink before, she let her legs dangle and leaned against the bark. "There must be a reason why you're so drawn to her, I saw the connection the first time you met her. She's wise beyond her years, just as you were when you were a boy."

Nahuel stood and began to pace the room, looking around at the dull drapery and pale green walls. He chuckled at her last statement and shook his head. <That's just it, what if that connection is only because we are the same unique breed. I haven't seen my sisters in over forty years. You are my only family, what if that's just natural and not love at all. Besides, she doesn't love me. She doesn't even know me. I'm just fooling myself. I should come home and leave her to live her life.>

"You will not. You set out to find answers and answers you shall receive. Do not let this get to you, you must believe in yourself. I saw the way you both looked at one another during her stay here. She fancies you, trust me Nahuel. Let your heart lead you, trust it. If you learn the answers you do not wish to hear at least you tried. Don't leave with any regrets."
She knew Nahuel and knew that he was a fighter, not one to give up because the battle that lay ahead may be difficult. She'd watched him battle so many other rogue vampires trying to take over their lands, she knew he was capable of telling a woman how he felt. Huilen grinned at how he was afraid, what was it with men and feelings? One day she'd find her mate, and she could only pray that he'd find his. But if Renesmee wasn't his mate, there certainly was a woman out there who was waiting for him.

Huilen was just as stubborn headed as he was and she was right. He couldn't leave without her knowing, without trying to figure out what those feelings and connections were. He owed it to himself, he did not want to spend the rest of eternity wondering what might have been. Sighing softly he nodded and looked out the window of the darkened sky with the moon high in the sky. <The sun has just rose on your end of the world, and here it's the moon gracing our presence. I miss you Huilen, and I thank you for talking sense into me. Somethings happened with the Cullens, something bad. I must go there soon to find out more. I'll keep you updated on my journey.>

She nodded and smiled. "We are on opposite ends of the world, but I'm forever in your heart my son." Huilen was just his aunt but had raised him as her own, walked South America with him for the last 150 years and still looked at him as her son. His mother would have been so proud of how he'd grown up. He wasn't a monster and she had Bella to thank for showing that to him. "I expect an update soon, but go to her. Tell her how you feel even if she doesn't feel the same. Follow your heart, it will never steer you wrong."

Nahuel leaned back against the wall and dropped his head back against the ugly green color. He'd only been in Seattle for about two weeks now and learning the new ins and outs of the lingo they used today came in handy at appearing like he belonged in this time. <I'll speak with you soon.> He hung the phone up and smiled, remembering a chat he'd once had with Edward Cullen. It seemed Edward wouldn't mind if Nahuel and Renesmee were together, it would mean that wolf was no longer in his family. At least he had one person on his side, maybe. It was Carlisle who'd suggested new clothing, so he listened and purchased many garments of this time, most of it uncomfortable and covered things he normally let breathe. Soon, he'd go to Renesmee soon.
He had to.
