Waiting anxiously for Carlisle to arrive home from his shift at the hospital, I sit at my cluttered desk, aimlessly moving plans and blueprints around.
It really hasn't been all that long since graduation for them. Will their classmates realize that Bella no longer looks the same? Will they notice that none of them have aged in any way?
There's so many unanswered questions in my mind. Sighing, I know that my beloved Carlisle will help ease my mind. Perhaps it's just the thoughts of a worried mother. I always want what's best for all of them.

It had been a long, hard day at work and I couldn't wait to get back home. Things with Esme were better; she was happier around Ryder, more content with being at home, but now things were taking a new turn.
The others had received invitations to their five year high school reunion. With Bella still being relatively new to the vampire lifestyle and the fact that they wouldn't have changed at all since graduation, I wasn't entirely sure that things would go over as smoothly as everyone had hoped.
I walked into the house and placed my car keys on the table by the door before heading towards my Esme. I could always tell where she was, even after all of these years; her heart sang to me, called my name in the darkest of night. She had made my endless existence meaningful, brought new life to me and made me whole. "Esme," I called as I walked into her office and smiled. "Penny for your thoughts?"

Hearing my beloved call my name lifted my spirits immensely.
"My sweet - I am so glad you're home!" Rushing into his arms, I kissed him hello.
"As you probably know by now, the children have received invitations to their class reunion. I'm a little worried."
I expressed my fears to my love. He always knew all the answers. I trusted him with everything.
I ticked off all the things that concerned me. Will their classmates notice the changes in Bella's appearance? What about a cover story? Their classmates will all be asking each other what they do for a living, and what they have done in the past five years.
We may also need to give Bella a refresher on acting as a human. This would be the first time since her change that she would be in a confined space with so many humans at one time.
My mind was whirling. I looked at my beloved expectantly, knowing he would know best.

I knew that something had been on her mind the moment I walked in, but thankfully it wasn't anything detrimental. The need to move had been weighing on my mind lately, too, so this was the perfect time to broach the subject. As she sat back at her desk, I pulled a chair over and sat across from her, my hands placed on my knees as I leaned forward to answer all of her questions.
"First, I completely understand the worry of them going. They haven't changed at all, except for Bella. I don't see anyone not realizing that something dramatic has changed in her. Though, as much as I hate saying it, they aren't all the brightest of people at that high school." I laughed at the look on Esme's face and shrugged my shoulders before continuing on. "As for a cover story, it has only been five years. They can say they have been traveling if need be. It would explain how no one has really seen them since graduation. And yes, I do believe we need to go over the human thing with Bella once more before we go. Perhaps she can go shopping with Alice, see how she does in a mall or something of the like?"
I could tell she was still worried, and that was something that just would not do. Leaning forward, I reached out a hand and placed it on hers atop the desk. "Don't worry, my dear Esme. All good things come in time." That was true in the realest sense;I had waited what felt an eternity for her, and in time... she had came to me.

As Carlisle took my hand, I felt soothed. Of course, he would know best how to deal with the situation. He always knew best. That was one of the many things I loved about this man - my beloved.
I smiled and tried to relax. I knew he didn't like it when I was worried or preoccupied. "Thank you my love."
