Not knowing which way to turn....

~There was a knock at the door, Charlie had just sat down after finishing his shift. He was about to have a can then cook his dinner, going to he door with a heavy sigh. He hoped this wasn't work related, he wanted a night off! Hell he needed a night off. Opening the door, there stood Jacob.... Whenever someone turned up unexpected it never seemed to be with good news. Sue was with Leah and Seth tonight, so whatever it was he was glad Sue wasn't around to hear it.~

Jacob..... if you have come to take off your pants again, showing me your also a dancing hippo! i'm not one to be shocked anymore. Just keep your clothes on, well what clothes you do have on.

~Charlie stood aside, letting Jacob in. He was a good lad, Charlie was always fond of the boy. Thought he was better for Bella, had encouraged them to spend time together hoping a bond would form. It did just not in the way Charlie had wanted it to.~

Hi Charlie....

-Jake laughed outright when Charlie said about the "Dancing hippo" the clothes statement to. Walking into Charlie's he sat down on the sofa, the tv was on some kind of football game. Jake was to busy nowadays to keep up withwho was playing, also a can on the table. Oh dear he had interupted Charlie's one of very few nights he had to relax.-

Look i'm sorry i should have called
Charlie ~ No it's okay you have a seat, beer?~

-Jake nodded his head, beer!! that would hit the spot right about now. Charlie would never turn people away, although he was a man of very few words. If he could help he would, even if it was to just listen, the man always had a good way of solving things.-

~Handing Jacob a beer, he opened his own up and took a gulp. Time to stop beating around the bush, it was never Charlie's thing.~ So Jacob what is the matter, don't tell me nothing because i see it in your face. ~Settling back into his chair so he could rest as much as possible, he listened to Jacob tell him everything.~

-Taking a deep breath he began to tell the one man he knew who would tell him like it was, he was neither crazy about Bella being a Vampire as he was Jake being a wolf. The only person who would not sugar coat thing for advantage of their side.-

Things between Sam's pack and the Cullen's have got.... well strained again. The fact Ryder was brought into the world, being a male it has Sam worried. If Ryder starts showing odd behavior then Sam has no choice but to act, i myself will have to make a choice as to if i see him as a threat. As Alpha's we need to look out for the people of Folks, in a way the police can't handle. No matter what side i chose Charlie, if this happens i lose! Nessie is willing to kill my brothers without a thought. Yet if i am to let the fight happen, chose not to fight maybe even kill my family i lose Nessie.

-Charlie was frowning, taking all this in. You could see the thought process, Bella his daughter, Nessie his Niece although this effected them. None of them were the targets, where as they had been many times before.-

~Never a dull moment in Forks! He felt sorry for Jake he really did. The lad had chose his love for Bella over the love of his family. Broke free of them to form his own..... pack? Then to have to be put in the middle of both sides. Constantly fighting for what he thought was right, not always having a choice in hurting the ones he loved. All this made Charlie's work life seem less complicated.~

Jacob, you have to do what you think is right, is Ryder really that much of a threat? You don't even know it will come down to that. Why worry about the what if's, keep a eye on the situation closely until it becomes a issue?

~Sure Charlie had held Ryder on a couple of occasions, Charlie didn't see him as a family member. Not saying he didn't like the little rugrat, he was relieved for once it wasn't Bella or Nessie in the firing line.~

-Charlie's words made sense, it was kind of what he had told Sam and Nessie. There was just one more thing! The fact of the're was talk of the Cullen's and how they aged so well. All of them, should he tell Charlie this? Have him worry yet again about the possibility of loosing his daughter from the area. Charlie had been through a lot, he had to except a world that was not his own. He had Sue now, surely Charlie knew this day would come.-

Thanks Charlie, i just needed to speak to someone who wasn't one sided. I just don't want to lose everything, Nessie, Bella, my pack, my brothers they all mean the world to me. I just don't ever see this working! there will always be something underlying that will divide the lot of us.

Jacob..... just be yourself, the situation you are in. It's not fair, life rarely is fair on anyone of us. True you are split by many people....... you can not please everyone all the time. Decisions are never easy, if they were it wouldn't be a choice. You are a man now, life will throw these things your way. It's how you deal with them that will get you the best outcome, don't rush into anything.

~Finishing the last of his can, he looked to Jacob.~ You want to watch the game with another beer? It's been a while since i have been able to do this.

-It was another two hours till he was needed at patrol, although he felt tired. His headache was still dull in the back of his head, it was nice to just relax and be Jacob once in a while. Both Charlie and Jacob took turns at shouting while the game went on, forgetting for that couple of hours what had just been said. Enjoying some time just being the people that wanted to be just that..... them selves!-
