"Go to her."
Nahuel looked up and had confusion written across his face. Huilen smiled warmly at him and nodded. "Go to her, I know you've been struggling with her absence. I've seen the way you looked at her, you're not wrong you know." She touched his shoulder and nodded. He looked down and sighed. <Huilen, how can you know that what I feel is right if even I do not know. I'm so confused.> For one hundred and fifty years he'd been alone, just he and his aunt who was like a mother to him. She always knew the correct words to tell him, wise wisdom he called it. There had never been another woman who intrigued him so much as how Renesmee Cullen did. There was this pull, this draw to her that he couldn't quite place.
"What is life if not one large confusion that you must seek answers and follow where your heart leads you, Nahuel. Renesmee is a special girl and I can see for myself the connection you share with her."
<But what if I'm wrong? What if it's just my curiosity because she's like me.>
"That is what you must learn, in order to find the answers you seek you must let destiny run it's course."
He sighed again and rubbed his face. <Go to her and say what? I know you love your wolf but I think I love you.> chuckling at how hard this actually was, and for the first time he voiced his feelings. He loved her, a part of him always had. Five years ago they spent hours laughing and talking and she made him promise to stay in touch. He always did, but seeing her again after she'd grown...sparked feelings he didn't realize he'd had.
"You say what's in your heart, nothing more. Nothing less. If she feels the same way you'll know. If not, at least you know."
<You really think I should go to her?> He turned to face his aunt who smiled and nodded. Turning back to look out over the rain forest beneath them, both perched on a tree branch high atop the treeline. It was breathtakingly beautiful, the most magnificent sight he'd ever seen, aside from Renesmee Cullen.
Without turning to face her he nodded. <I'll leave in three days time. Dr. Carlisle spoke of another male hybrid named Ryder that Rosalie and Emmett have acquired guardianship over. I'd like to meet him.> Huilen nodded and knew she must stay behind, this was something he had to do alone. In three days, he'd be in Forks and all of his questions would hopefully be answered.
