At the tender age of three months old, Bella's parents Charlie and Renee' decided to divorce. Her life would forever be changed. Renee couldn't take the small town life of Forks, feeling suffocated and trapped by being just a wife and mother. She wanted more, she wanted a career. With Bella in tow, she moved them to Downey, California where they lived with Renee's overbearing and difficult (at times) mother. Bella began school as her mother began working towards her educational degree in teaching. Finally after seven years of hard work they were moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Renee' wanted her daughter to have extra curricular so she enrolled Bella in ballet. She was not the most graceful and elegant dancer, in fact you'd swear she had two left feet. Her clumsiness ran her life as she couldn't go one day without some new bruise making an appearance. She begged her mother to let her sit out next session, seeing her daughter constantly holed up in the broom closet before performances was a sign that this wasn't her thing.
Bella spent summers with her father, Charlie. Charlie's best friend, Billy had been in a bad accident a few years back and was wheelchair bound. He was over a lot with his children, Rachel, Rebecca and Jacob Black. Bella spent lots of time at the reservation and vice versa. All grew up childhood friends, Jacob maybe having a bit of a crush on the clumsy girl.
In 2002, at the age of 15 Bella requested that Charlie begin to visit her in Phoenix as she did not like the weather in Forks. It was always too wet and cloudy. She had become accustomed to the heat of the Phoenix sun. Charlie did as his daughter requested to have a form of relationship with her.
Bella noticed her mother seemingly lonely and pushed her to date more. She had an old soul. At a young age, took over most household chores as the roles were somewhat reversed with Bella as the mother and Renee as the child. Soon Renee' met Phil Dwyer and married him in September 2004. She'd never been so happy and Bella was happy for her. Phil wanted to travel with the minor league team he was with, while Renee stayed home with Bella. She could tell her mother was unhappy when Phil was away so decided to move to Forks and stay with her father until after graduation. It was the move that would change her life forever.
[Time stands still beauty in all she is...I will be brave...I will not let anything...Take away, What's standing in front of me,Every breath, Every hour has come to this]
She looked over her shoulder on her first day at her new school. "Who's that?" She asked the girl that befriended her in gym class. "That's Edward Cullen...." She watched trying not to stare as she thought to herself how beautiful he was...how perfect. Instantly attracted and intrigued by his mysterious glares. 'Edward....Edward Cullen....' Time seemed to stand still as she wondered what he was thinking the way he brought his brows down in deep thought as he'd glance at her as if trying to figure some equation out.
As she entered the biology lab and the wind from the fan blew her hair around her face. She turned to see the empty seat by Edward Cullen. His face distorted into an unpleasant stare at her like she made him sick. Leaning down she tried to smell herself and hair. To her she didn't smell. What was his deal?? As soon as the bell rang, he sprinted for the door.
Weeks passed...no Edward. She wanted to confront him and ask him what his problem was. Then...just like he disappeared he came back. This time, he was friendly. His eyes....they were different. He...seemed different. All the clues in her head moving around and being shaken up..Stories of Quilette Legends, wolves and cold ones...piece by piece it made sense. The more time she spent with him, the closer she got to him. The more she wondered about what he hid, the closer she came to knowing the truth.
[Heart beats fast, Colors and promises. How to be brave? How can I love when I'm afraid To fall. But watching you stand alone
All of my doubt, Suddenly goes away somehow]
"Your blood is like a drug to me..." Vampire...Edward Cullen was vampire...immortal. Dangerous, monster, abomination, unnatural, myth, all words that rang from his mouth and sites. But to her, he was just a boy..and she was just a girl. And she just knew she loved him. Knew he couldn't and wouldn't hurt her. "So the lion fell in love with the lamb...." As he got closer to her, drawing her breath out with his closeness she looked into his golden eyes. It was then that she knew he was the one she wanted to fight for. Bella always figured she was not good enough for him, too minuscule to be loved and desired by someone so...perfect.
"You don't know how long I've waited for you..." Being immortal she could only imagine how long that time was. He cupped her face and her world went hazy. He dazzled her in the strangest of ways. The way his lips parted, the way his breath smelled so sweet, the way his touch left tingles along her skin.
[And all along I believed I would find you. Time has brought Your heart to me, I have loved you for a Thousand years. I'll love you for a Thousand more]
About three things I was certain...One: Edward was a vampire. Two: A part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, thirsted for my blood. And Three: I was irrevocably and undoubtedly in love with him.
