A worrying past

[Jacob Black]

-Walking the La Push beach to get a little head space, Jake having no got a pack of his own. Wanting to spend as much time with Nessie as he could, also finding time for family. Time on his own was hard to come by, kicking a pebble, Jakes phone went off. Taking it out of his pocket and reading a text from Bella, sighing as he read alone.- This better be important Bella. -Shifting to wolf form he ran to the meadow as Bella had asked Jacob to meet her there.

As Jacob got to the meadow he saw concern in Bellas eyes, taking his wolf eyes off her he shifted. Putting back on his off cut jeans, Jake turned to Bella.- Whats going on now?

[Bella Cullen]

She turned to see Jacob entering the meadow in wolf form, looking like he was on high alert. Turning her back to him so he could dress privately, then turned to face him. "We need to talk. It's about Renesmee." She knew he cared deeply for her daughter and would do anything for her. They were mated, soulmates. Pulling a strand of hair behind her ear and looking down for a moment. "She asked about....our past relationship." She said before looking back up at him, "I told her the truth, she misunderstood."

[Jacob Black]

-Hearing Bellas words, his breathe escaped him.-

What do you mean she misunderstood? Bella?? Does she think i still have feelings for you? What exactly was said?

-Taking a much needed breat, Jacob ran his hand through his hair.- Why now? What has triggered off these questions? Someone must have said something to her.

[Bella Cullen]

She shook her head, "She knows the truth, all of it. I told her exactly how it was between us. I loved you and still do. You're my best friend, you were there for me for everything. She thinks you settled for her because you couldn't have me. I think it's just her growing into herself, but I thought you should know. Edward plans to talk to her soon, just....I'm worried about her."

Settled?!! Oh my word i thought Ness knew, what imprinting meant.

-This is not going to end well, Jacob would eventually have to explain himself to Nessie, how his and her mums friendship started out. This wasn't you average problem you would come across.- What do i do? Bella i thought i was in love with you! do i tell her the truth in hope she understands. Or do i down play it as a silly school boy crush?

[Bella Cullen]

She smiled and shook her head, "Jake you tell her the truth. Our love....was real but it wasn't what kind of love we thought. It went deeper than most friendships only because you were destined to be in my life. Let her father speak to her first, just know if she's funny around you that's why. I'm concerned she's losing confidence in herself because of it." She playfully hit Jacob's arm. "School boy crush?" Shaking her head as she chuckled.

-Taking a deep heavy breath.- I'm not great with words Bella, and i normally end up getting slapped around the face. -Winking at Bella playfully as he said it.- This will proberly blow over in a couple of days right? I mean you woman and your tempers. They change as often as Alice changes her clothes.

-Things would be ok, they had to be Jacob couldn't stand losing Nessie. She was his life, his very reason for living. They had a bond that would leave Jacob crippled without her.-

Okay, i will wait for Edward to talk to her. Just don't leave it to long. Yeah school boy crush, like i'd really want to end up with someone who dated mr sparkles. -Laughing as Jake dodged one of Bella's nudges.-

His little pun about Edward set her off completely after his "women" and tempers jab. Shoving him against the nearest tree and glaring at him. "Not funny. He doesn't sparkle. He's beautiful and doesn't smell. Unlike you." She smirked a little and knew she had him pinned. He was still her best friend, but he was right. He sucked at his words.

-Laughing- Ohhhhh he sparkles, giant glitter ball that one. The shiniest of all. -Grinning from ear to ear, this is how Bella and Jake got on. The banter was still there but it was playful and nothing more. Things would be fine, Ness would see his love for her over powered anything. They were bonded, forever they would be.-

She narrowed her eyes and pulled his chest into her knee. Letting him fall to the ground with a smirk. "Oh, and thanks for deflowering my daughter. I'm not stupid." With a smile on her face she crouched and waited for his best shot.

[Jacob Black]

-Falling to the floor, he hadn't been ready to recieve the blow to his gut. Looking at Bella.- We were ready, she's more grown up than people give her credit for. With everyone keeping a eye on us, it only made us sneak around. Bella i'm older now i wouldn't hurt her, i wasn't like it back then. I'm certainly not like it now.

-Getting up slowly, trying to antisipate wether Bella would strike again. Jake stood straight. Anyway, she had more restraint then you did. -Grinning he ran for the middle of the meadow.-

She chuckled and shook her head, running after him until she was in front of him. Kicking his chest as he flew across the meadow. "Not fighting back? More restraint than I did? Jealous it wasn't you Jacob!?" She grinned and rushed over to him to grab his ear and pulled him. "I don't care if she was ready. She's my DAUGHTER and she's only FIVE! Technically...."

As a rule! i don't hit friends/ mother in laws to be / past school boy crush. -Laughing at the last one.- You already laid into me for the inprinting on Nessie, im not exactly a stranger to your beatings Bella. You are however getting close to the line i have drawn for you. -Smirking he gave Bella a shove that knocked her off balance. Not giving Bella time to react Jacob shifted forms, looking back at Bella. Jake winked his wolf eye,as he set off at a sprint for the Cullen house.-
