If you had told Bella Swan five years ago, that she'd be as graceful and exuberant as Edward was as a vampire, if not more, she'd have laughed. Since becoming a vampire, she was more full of life than ever before. Now she could truly live.
The day we met, frozen I held my breath.
Her memories of Edward flash over and over in her mind as she pushes her shield away. Developing her skills with such finesse over the past five years. Days spent with the family as her nights surrounded her husband. In his arms, her marble skin against his in the perfect rhythmic dance of passion. Emmett often teased they were "tamer" than he and Rosalie, but Bella would beg to differ. Self control had led them to breaking few things here and there when passion overrode reason, but their love making was anything but tame. When the sun would rise and spread across their skin making it glimmer with radiance.
Some mornings she couldn't stop, she couldn't get away from his touch. Half a decade since she became a vampire, shocking herself and her family of how much self control she had. Self control she had, but not when it came to her nights with Edward. Her animalistic side seeping through and always surprising him. The luminescence of the moon on their skin when they would go for a swim in their private backyard "island". Laughter passed through her lips as he'd pick her up into his arms and speed into the water. Her arms wrapped around his neck as his lips pressed to hers, smiling against his lips as he let her down into the water. Enveloping him in her arms, against her cool body as she kissed his chest under the light of the moon. Looking up and eyes locking to his as she held up a hand to which he gently placed his against hers and intertwined their fingers. Her favorite part? Exploring his body with her touch; seeing his reaction to her feather like deft hands slowly sliding against his body. Her right hand moving on his chest up to where his heart would beat as she smiled. For ages he was set on believing he had no soul, and if he did it was damned for what he was. Not a second could she believe that because when she touched him, when she kissed him, their souls became one. It was like pure magical bliss, how could she-just a regular girl, be gifted by the fates to have such an astonishing love, to be granted immortality and get to keep him forever. To be blessed with the miracle of their daughter Renesmee.
The meadow, their second home. Days spend basking in the sunlight, wrapped up in one another. The fragrance of the lilacs invading her nose as she smiled and closed her eyes, laying her head on his chest. His hands running softly through her silk hair. They could spend hours not talking, but say so much. Lying in his arms was home, no matter the location. They had forever, an eternity. Waiting for so long didn't seem so hard anymore. She was home, she was his and he was hers and for that, she could not ask for more or better.
