Twinkies, Oreo's, Twizzlers, Baby Ruth, Reeses peanut cups, Ding Dongs and so lots more.....so many choices to make on what to eat. Mmmmmmm.
My stomach started to rumbled as i searched the cupboards in the kitchen for something too eat. A young man gotta keep his strength up, especially if Sam has us running double shifts since all these new vampires had come to Forks and now with more wolves coming into the pack, i was no longer the newest member. Jacob and Sam had come to an understanding and were now trying to help the newest members adjust. My stomach continued to rumble as i grabbed several of the sweet treats that i had kept hidden from Leah and especially Brady who spent a lot of time at at home. With a mouth like Brady's he would have scoffed my secret stash of all my goodies. With the house empty as my mom had gone to Charlie's for dinner, my mom had been spending a lot of time with Charlie and i was glad. Since my dad died i was thankful for Charlie. Thankful that my mom had someone that she could go to. Sure i missed my dad and i still did everyday, but i was happy that my mum was happy. So this week is thanksgiving we are all going around to Charlie's too eat. My mouth watered at the thought of all that food.
I walked through into the livingroom and plumped myself onto the couch and dropped all my goodies next to me, not willing to wait i begun to dig in to my treats going for the skittles, the taste of the rainbow. Dropping several into my mouth as i heard the bedroom door to Leah's open as watched as she stumbled out, she had been on the late night run. There goes the plan for the house to myself theory.
"Whatcha do? Rob the store?" she asked groggily.
"No! My afternoon snack" i grinned back at her as i tossed another few more skittles into my mouth.
"Pig *she scoffed* You should be thankful that you can eat all this food. There is people around the world who would love to eat all of that" she grinned at him as she made her way into the bathroom.
Food For Thought.
She was right, i should be thankful for all the food that i eat, and there is others that don't have any food. This week was Thanksgiving, a time to be thankful for what you have and to give thanks for what you are given.
Remember to be thankful for what you have, and not what you don't have.
