The "Joys" of parenthood!

*I sat at my computer desk in the room that Em and I shared. Ryder was with his Glam'ma for a few hours. Esme had asked if she could help care for him today, that she wanted to give Em and I a little break. I knew what she wanted. Vampires didn't get tired so I knew she just wanted some baby time. During everything that had happened, I was so busy caring for Tenn that I didn't stop to think about how this situation was effecting Esme.
Like me, she too longed to be a mother. Carlisle tried to fill that void for her by saving us "kids" and giving her children that way. But unlike me, Esme once gave birth to a child, which later died. That was the reason why she...."Joined" our family. She had tried to kill herself after suffering the lost of her infant son. I had been so selfish in my joy over Ryder, that I couldn't see the pain she was reliving, having a new baby boy in the house. I hope spending time with him could help ease some of that suffering for her.
I was now sitting in front of my computer doing a little online research. I was planning a BIG surprise for Em. He was doing so well adjusting to being a new dad. Poor thing, it took him about 100 tries to finally get changing a diaper down. Now he can actually hold Ryder up after a diaper change without the diaper sliding back down his legs. Oh and let's not forget dressing Ryder. All those tiny little snaps just were not made for Emmett's big hands. One thing for sure tho, he loved that little boy and was willing to do anything he needed for him. Just another reason why I love my monkey man.
Sitting there staring into the computer, I heard Em's big footsteps on the stairs that lead up to our room. Quickly shutting down the computer, I turn just in time to see my husband's large frame blocking the bedroom doorway*

[Emmett Cullen]

*Emmett smiled as he passed Esme in the hallway, a smile on her face as she cooed to Ryder. Ryder Tennessee Cullen. Amazing how his wife had thought of him. Making his way up to the room they shared, he heard her close the laptop before he leaned against the door frame, folding his arms across his chest. Both of their eyes a deep brown indicating hunger. It had been almost a week since they last hunted, a week since many other things had taken place. Deciding to get his wife out of the house he dropped his arms and slowly made his way over to her. Placing one hand on the desk, and one on her chair as he leaned down to kiss her cheek softly.*

How about a hunt, babe? Esme has Ryder, I'm sure he'll be fine for a bit.

*Fatherhood was amazing, it was an interesting adjustment though, no sleep was ever needed, but things had....slowed down in the love department. Maybe a few hours away in the woods was the perfect cure.*

[Rosalie Hale]

*I watched as my mate moved across the bedroom floor, like a tiger on the prowl. His eyes reveling the fact that he needed to hunt, the question was, what was he hungry for?
Returning his kiss, I looked into his eyes "A hunt huh? I know that look Mr. Cullen and I don't think a hunt is exactly what you have in mind" I pushed him back slowly with my hand as I stood to face his tall frame.*

[Emmett Cullen]

*He chuckled low and shook his head.* I only have the best of intentions. *Giving her a playful wink as she stood and faced him. He moved her hair off her shoulder and smiled. You can't tell me you're not hungry, Mrs. Cullen. *He leaned down to place a kiss on her bare shoulder, before moving his kisses towards her neck, trying to convince her of her own hunger. Was it working? Time would soon tell, but he figured he struck some nerve as she put her arms around his neck. Kissing his way to her soft pink lips, placing a hand on the small of her back as he pulled her closer to him.*

*There was always something about Emmett's kisses that made me weak in the knees, even as a vampire. My body never felt more alive then when he touched me. As a vampire, my skin was naturally cold to touch but after just one of my mate's kissed, I was hot enough to burn someone if they were to touch me. Atleast that is how it felt.
I felt him place his hand on my lower back and pull me into him. That is when I felt just how "hungry" he was. "Yes, I do believe I could go for some.....lunch" I felt his manhood jump, hitting me just under my belly button. I looked up and slid my right hand up his back and into his thick brown hair. "But, only if you promise to go shopping with me afterwards" I heard him moan but not the kind of moan that he usually made when I was with him but the kind that told me shopping was not what he had in mind after our hunt*

[Emmett Cullen]

*He let out a moan of torture as she mentioned that one little word. Shopping. Shopping with a woman on a mission was an all day affair. A very boring all day affair. Emmett knew supplies were needed for their son as he grumbled, his manhood showing defeat as it went back down being put in it's place. He kissed her temple and nodded, reluctantly.*

Shopping it is. I can't wait! *He said with a slight smart ass sound in his voice. Taking her hand in his as he headed for the window, leaping from the window onto the tree across as he looked back at her.*

Afraid you'll break a nail, princess *He picked on her as he grinned and took off leaping from tree to tree like the monkey man he was. As he got deeper and deeper in the forest he looked around for his wife, wondering where she was.*

*Princess? I will show him a princess. "You better be worried about keeping up with this princess" I yelled behind me as I jumped onto the tree ahead of him. A few seconds later, he passed me. Leaping from tree to tree. "Aww, that's my monkey" I said to myself before going after him. He thought he could out leap me. That he was faster then me. I watched as he went side to side, making his way deep into the forest. Stopping to no doubt look to see where I was, the problem being he wasn't looking up. Dropping down onto his back, I kissed him "Tag, you're it monkey man" I giggled as I leaped from his back and continued through the woods. Yelling behind me "You coming or what lover?"

[Emmett Cullen]

*He looked around and heard silence. Her perfume scent was in the air so she was close. Suddenly he felt her on his back as she kissed his cheek and said "Tag, you're it monkey man." Emmett let out a loud chuckle, as she continued through the woods. He could hear her laughing as she ran, taking an alternate path as he soon came upon her passing her slightly. Grabbing her around the waist as he pulled her down so they both fell to the forest floor. He lay on his back with her on his chest as he moved the hair from her face. Caressing her cheek as he looked up at her into her beautiful dark brown eyes.*

I love you Rosalie Hale Cullen. *Before he crushed his lips to hers and rolled her over to her back, hunting would have to wait. It would have if he hadn't caught the smell of a musky large animal. The sound of its heavy feet hitting the ground. As its heart beat, spreading blood throughout its body. Breaking the kiss as he felt the venom in his mouth pool.*

Lunch is served *He said before taking off towards the large grizzly*

*I was pulling Emmett down to me for another kiss when he stopped and inhaled deeply. "Lunch is served" he said before jumping to his feet and rushing off into the woods. "Damnit" I mumbled as I rolled over and pushed myself up off the forest floor. Catching the sent of what my husband was now running after. "Oh you better save some for me" I yelled after him. Taking off at a high sprint, I followed Emmett towards our meal*

*Emmett continued to run, his feet barely touching the forest floor as he sped through the trees in such a blur. The smell of the bear getting closer to his nose. Bears tasted very similar to humans due to their diet. He spotted the grizzly on all fours eating and getting ready for the upcoming winter for hibernation. He smirked as he heard the roar of a lion and knew Rosalie had found her meal. Emmett often liked to play with his food. He jumped down from the tree as the bear stood and let out a roar, to which Emmett mocked.*

Big boy are ya. *chuckles* So, we gonna duke this out or what? *The bear swat its paw and growled an angry growl that would make any human stiffen with fear. He had practically died at the hands of a bear and since then, every bear had paid for that. They were delicious too. As the bear got closer to attack, Emmett punched him and laughed. The bear falling over with a painful groan.* Serves you right. *He jumped on the bear and bit into its neck, draining it completely of blood.*

*I was right on Emmett's heels. Running through the forest, weaving in and out, leaping over fallen trees. I was just about to catch up with him when another scent filled my nose. Making a quick turn to my right, I left Emmett to have his bear. I had something else in mind for lunch, mountain lion. I slowed just before getting to the edge of the cliff, right at the river that divided the Cullen's hunting ground and the wolf pack land. There, down on all fours laid a beautiful male Mt. Lion. Basking in the sun's rays, resting after just killing a...*deep breath* fairly large deer. This would be good. I took one slow step closer before pouncing onto of the animal. Wrapping my arms around it's large neck and my legs around it full belly. "Come to momma" I snickered before sinking my teeth into it's warm flesh. It let out a loud cry before being hushed by the pain of my venom.
I drained the animal within minutes. I didn't know just how hungry I was until I stood, wiping the small dribble of blood from my chin. I felt revived and ready to get my day started but first I must find my shopping partner.
I took off in the direction I left him, towards the smell of fresh bear blood. I slowed to a walk right before I came up to the site where Emmett stood. Still kneeling at the massive bears side. A big meal for a big man. I noticed the bear's big black nose, broken and bleeding.
"Playing with your food again Mr. Cullen" I teased him as he sat back on his knees, wiping his hands on the legs of his jeans. I smiled as he licked his lips*

[Emmett Cullen]

*Emmett leaned back on his knees after hearing his wife's question, or more like statement. He smiled and licked his lips before flashing by her side, placing a hand on the tree above her head as he leaned in.* I gave him a fair fight, sort of. *Lifting her chin so that he could place a kiss on her soft lips again, tasting and smelling her lunch. He grinned and pulled back. Lion today, nice Mrs. Cullen. *Maybe if he distracted her enough he could get out of this shopping trip. His free hand began to trail her side, down to her hips as he kissed her again.*

*I leaned against the tree as Em pushed his body closer onto mine. Feeling his hand start to make it's way down my side, I smacked it away. "Nope, you had your chance earlier monkey man. You should have listened to ummm the other part of your body instead of your thirst" I smiled as I slipped out from under him and stood behind him "Next time you will make better choices huh?" I placed my hand on my hips laughing. "Now, I do believe we have some shopping to do." I heard him mumble something about women and shopping. He turned around, adjusted his growing member and faced me. "But...." he started to protest before I kissed him quickly and turned to rush back home*

*He groaned and fixed himself as she teased him. This was pure torture. His thirst, oh he should have not listened to his thirst. Damn him. As she turned to rush back to the house he tried to walk it off with a bit of pain, taking his time instead of running. There was no rush to go shopping if they'd be gone all day. A good ten minutes of walking and he felt his jeans loosen a bit, deciding to run the rest of the way. He jumped into the driver side of his jeep and waited for Rosalie to come from the house. He could hear her telling Esme they were going shopping. It was a fairly overcast day, so shopping in Seattle was doable. He put his sunglasses on anyway and turned to see her heading for the jeep. She climbed in with a triumphant smile. He shook his head and started the jeep.*

*The mall was their first stop. Oh how many times he wished Alice was available to go shopping, she was always the better shopping partner. As they entered the mall hand in hand, many looking at them as he smiled, the women so jealous of his wife's beauty. They simply hated how perfect she looked. He pulled her close and heard a few whispers. She entered a baby clothing store as he followed. Looking around as he smirked and whispered close to her ear*

We can check out some new...clothes for you too. I can help you in the dressing room. *He said with a sideways grin and wink*

*We entered Baby Gap and just as I started to look around I heard my husband's voice in my ear "We can check out some new...clothes for you too. I can help you in the dressing room" I looked up at the elderly woman as she passed us, a shocked look on her face. Elbowing Emmett in his side "Em, hush. That poor woman about fainted. Gesh" I shook my head but had to laugh. A filter was something that my husband didn't have. He said just what was on his mind and he didn't care who was around to hear it.
I made my way over to the infant side. It was so hard to shop for Tenn cause you didn't know what size he was going to be once you got back home. So far his growing was not as face as Nessie, he seemed to be about the size of one month old even tho he was only two weeks old. So as much as Carlisle could tell he was going to be twice as big as he should be at his age. So when he was two months he should look four months and when he was a year old, he would like the age of a two year old and so forth.
Holding up a outfit that had a bear on the bum, I asked "What about this? I think this is cute"

He gave me his best smile and nodded his head yes, approving of the sleeper. I handed it to him and moved to the next rack.
"oh this one is just to much...look Em" I said with a smile as I held up the sleeper.

I handed that one over to him as well and made my way through the store. Holding up outfits that I thought would look cute on Ryder and loading Em's arms with them.
