Alice was lying in her bed, listening to some music and searching online for new Thanksgiving props. She lifted her head up in curiosity when she heard a strange noise that sounded almost like Ness and Jake coming from another room. Smiling, and trying not to laugh too loudly she suddenly realized what was going on.
Time had flown quickly with Nessa. Just before Ness's birthday she and Jasper had run into her and Jake in a compromised position on the sofa. There was a big ordeal and eventually Edward and Bella stepped in to do their parenting job. Apparently they were okay with what was happening, but there was no doubt in Alice's mind that Bella and Edward gave them good counseling on the matter. Like them she was a bit worried about what might happen to Nessa regarding the possibility of her having children. Still she had said her piece, and left it in the capable hands of Ness's parents.
It seemed the time for babies in one form or another. One growing up and performing the act of making them, another had shown up in their lives, Ryder. She had not seen Rose as happy as she was in a long time and she was delighted to see her smiling so brightly once more.
Now Alice had something else to focus on. Thanksgiving was just around the corner and with everything that had been going on she was far behind in her planning for it. Her fingers flew over the keys of the keyboard as she diligently searched for decorations, props, centerpieces, door gifts, games and prizes. Some would no doubt criticize her for turning Thanksgiving into a party, saying it wasn't really one. She begged to differ of course. It was one of the biggest parties next to New Year's eve. Of course it was a time to be thankful for everything in your life, and she certainly was. She was thankful for her family, for Jasper and all the wonderful things that they had been gifted throughout the year. All the same it was a party. A big party in which to be thankful for all those things and celebrate with those you loved.
She pursed her lips as her fingers clicked to order over and over. Most things were now being rush delivered.
Closing her laptop she grabbed her purse, slipped on her shoes and threw on her coat. Online shopping was fantastic, but nothing compared to being able to pick something up, hold it in your hand and walk out with it then and there.
Grinning happily she practically skipped out the house, headed for the mall, craft stores and other various shops.
