*Vampires didn't sleep but they did rest and after hours of breaking things in the house that we would have replace before heading back to Forks, Emmett was resting in front of the T.V while I was back in front of the computer. Jillian, the clinic's office manager had done a wonderful job taking care of things for Carlisle and I. She had kept up with ordering supplies and making sure the bills were paid. Of course the clinic did not charge it's patients but they at times would bring "offerings" to the staff. Veggies grown or chickens raised and Jillian had made note of each and every "payment". Edward was the computer genius in the family and he made a fantastic program that allowed me and Carlisle to be able to login and check on the ins and outs of everything from anywhere in the world. The staff was paid once a month from a offshore account that Carlisle had set up just for the Clinic. Everything looked in order from what I could tell, so the only thing left to do was to actually go to the clinic and see how everyone was doing.
Before logging off, I went to a local furniture market's website and ordered a few replacement things for the house. A new couch, lamp, beside table and coffee table. I also called a local contractor and set up for him to come out and replace the drywall in the bedroom. Emmett didn't know his own strength at times and he loved to pick me up and hold me against the wall. Funny, it gets harder and harder to explain the human shaped hole in the wall after the first four times it has to be replaced. Smiling remembering the last 8 hours, I shut down the computer and walk into the living room. Emmett was laying on the couch, ankles crossed and hands behind his head. He eyes were closed and he was playing "human" I stood there and watched his chest raise and fall as he breathed in and out. A vampire's form of meditation. He smiled "I smell you beautiful. Are you back for round 12 already?"
He opened his eyes and held his hand out to me. Taking it, I sat beside him. "I was thinking that we could go hunt. I am famished"
I leaned down and kissed him softly "then maybe come back for round 12" I giggled.
"You don't have to say another word angel. I could go for a little panther myself" Jumping up from the couch, he pulled me to a standing position. "Panther? Why not, seeing that I had monkey all day" I teased following him out of the house and into the back yard. "You think you can keep up Beautiful?" he asked, stopping just before entering the jungle brush. Rushing ahead of him in a flash, I call from a few yards away "keep up? I am already on my second helping, you better hurry up before I eat them all" I heard him laugh as he came running through the jungle after me. "You are such a wildcat" he whispered in my ear as he flashed passed me. Smiling, I raced behind him. Let the hunt begin*
