Edward had been laying among the dry grass that was filled with his favorite flower that bloomed around this time of year. The meadow filled with lavender, honey blossoms and arrays of daisies and blue bells. He could see the tiniest buds of pollen dance in the air around him as that off enticing dancers as he stretched out his body on the ground. The short sleeved blue shirt tightening around his upper arms as he did so. A shirt that Bella had chosen for him, and a shirt that Alice would certainly approve of also.
As he raised his head and folded his arms underneath as he continued to stare into the midnight sky. Without a cloud in sight, the sky sparkled with twinkling stars that sparkled of diamonds.
He had come here as a sort of escape from Alice's voice that he felt constant around him. Herself arguing on the perfect gift for Bella. As like his beloved Bella, he had come to find this place a sort of haven to them. He had spent many times here as he fought against his animalistic urges when he had first encountered Bella in High School. He had found this place out of pure luck, and he has never looked back. Peace and tranquility he could always find here, a place he and Bella could call their own.
He chuckled at this as he and probably Alice already knew of his gift for Bella, he had spent many night debating on what Bella would say, and he had asked Alice on what to expect when they arrived.
But she positively re-assured him all would be well, it was one thing to trust Alice, but he learned never to doubt her visions. He smiled as he remembered all of the memories he would cherish, the memories of when Bella was human, and in her first few months of becoming a newborn.
He and Carlisle had spent many days contemplating as to why she was able to act the way she was. Was it because of her preparation for this new life? Or just as he was unable to read inside her head when she was human, was this another trait that she brought with her into this new life? But Carlisle had assured him that Bella is strong and that she now had the function of such a new close-knit family to help her through. Something that he never had when he was turned. He wanted things for Bella too be different to what he experienced when he himself was a newborn.
He sat up straight, as he heard Bella's voice echoing through the trees, and Renesmee giggling beside her calling out for him also. He then felt images press into him as Bella had now become stronger to letting him into her mind. He groaned as the images she was beginning to show him as she called out for him.
He grinned as this had become her way of teasing him of sorts. She knew that he had spent many months finding ways to try to penetrate her barrier that was built around her from all mind tricks that he and the rest of his family were openly exposed too. He stood swiftly, carefully dusting off the buds of pollen that had landed on his clothes. He then began to speed towards her angelic voice, leaving all but the scatter of petals from the disorientated flowers that danced in his wake
