Carlisle ran behind her but kept his distance letting her learn her senses on her own just as he did Edward. He watched her spring and attack the moose that was lapping up water in the stream. She was graceful in her attack, draining the large animal without spilling so much as an ounce of blood. Almost motherly at how she tenderly dropped its lifeless body to the ground. Jumping down from the nearby tree he smiled. "You did magnificent. How are you feeling? Still hungry?" He stepped closer to her and watched her facial expressions. This had gone better than he'd imagined.

Smiling at his obvious approval, she felt elated. "I feel fine. I'm a little disoriented - it's a lot to take in, but I'm okay."
As to the second part of his question, was she still hungry? I wasn't sure. My throat still burned, but nowhere near as bad as it had when I took down the moose.
"I think I'm alright for now. My throat still burns a little, but I feel like I'm full."
Smiling at him, I asked "Did I do it right?"

He nodded, "You did. I couldn't have thought it would go any better." There was no hunger within him as the taste of her blood still remained on his tongue. The control he had to stop in the first place was immense and he was so thankful he did, it wielded rewards for sure. "Come, I have much to talk to you about." He extended his hand for her again and she placed her small one in his, following him towards the home that stood on the edge of the woods. He'd tell her about his life, about vampire life and how things were ruled. The Volturi existed and she needed to know about vampire law, she was his creation and he'd do all he could to protect her. The connection he felt for her only deepened after today.. Maybe eternity wouldn't be so bad if he had Esme.
