*I was glad she couldn’t “see” me. Or read me. No one could. I was much like her ‘sister’ Bella in many ways, Renata too. But more of than either of them could imagine.*So..you want me to stand with you against the Volturri because you think there’s something in me that Aro fears, bottom line? *I rose up, skirting the desk* There’s a reason I’ve stayed “lost”. Hidden away. No tracker can find me, another gift. I washed my hands of the Volturri after they defeated the Romanians..*fondly thinking of Vladimir and Stefan. Good times, good times* I wanted nothing to do with their order or their rules, which they don’t even abide by half the time. Do as I say, not as I do…ever Aro’s motto. And Caius and Marcus only think they have equality..*this last said quietly before I kneeled down at Alice’s side, reaching out my hand to her, watching her reaction* Not all of us cover power and supremacy. Some of us just want to live…may I? *nodding my chin at my hand, waiting to see if she’d lay her small one it. It was all I could do to NOT crush her to me. She was the only vampire I’d ever made.*

-He moved so slowly as though afraid of scaring me off and I found myself wanting to trust him. I didn’t sense any maliciousness on his part, he was sincere in all he said. When he held out his hand to me, a motion so much like Aro’s, I hesitated, glancing at Jazz who finally nodded. Placing my hand in his trepiditiously, I waited only a moment and then it came. I saw it all…what he wanted me to know. And I knew why Aro might be more than concerned should Henry ever appear in Volterra. Oh. Oh! Holy hell. Finally, Henry pulled away and gave a roguish smile. He glanced at Jazz and told him what he’d just shown me. Jazz sat back, dumbfounded before finally finding his voice and asking if it would work.-

*shrugging as I stood up to my full height* Not going to know until we try. So to answer your question Alice..yes. I will help and I will help the Cullens FOR you. Not for anyone but you. I don’t know if it will work, neither do you. That largely depends on Aro, now doesn’t it. So…*clapping my hands together and heading back around my desk* I can be ready to leave in an hour. I just need to let some people know so they can look after things in my absence. *casting a long look at Alice, wanting to say more, do more. But I sensed that trying to force the past on her would be a bad idea* I need to make a few phonecalls. If you two haven’t fed yet…Holmby Hills has reported a sudden spread of coyotes to this area. You can go hunting if you wish and I’ll meet you back here in an hour.

-Again. Too easy. But I didn’t have a reason NOT to trust him. And I needed him. My visions had shown me that much. He COULD be the bargaining chip we needed. Nodding as I stood, Jazz wrapped an arm around my waist-What about you? Do you need to hunt? To feed? –trying to be polite-

*Shaking my head as they headed to the door* No honey. I don’t need to feed anymore. *smiling and sinking back down, picking up the phone* See you guys soon. Be careful. You’re in a town where not the freakest thing on the block. *almost snorting as I began to dial*

-I was in possession of so much new knowledge right now, it wasn’t funny. I was both horrified and yet happy. Another mystery to unravel and another ace up my sleeve when it came to Aro. But. I also knew how wily he could be. He’d surrendered to us once before, grudgingly and with great anger. Would we be so lucky this time?-See ya in a bit…c’mon Jazz…-and then we were gone-
