Reassessing the treaty

[Sam Uley]

The rays of the sun shone through the trees as Sam stood in the middle of the forest awaiting the arrival of the rest of the pack. After the great battle with the blood suckers it was clear the terms of the old treaty had been compromised. New rules needed to be set in place to keep both Forks and La Push safe. Sam was alpha and whatever he decided the rest of the pack would have to go along with but he wanted to give them a chance to voice their opinion. He wanted to find out if hey wanted a new treaty or was fine with the way things were now. Sam ultimately had the last say of course but the first thing about being a good leader was to listen to your pack so that's what this meeting was about.

I was off in the woods when I heard the Alpha's howl. It was Sam calling the pack in. I began to run through the forest as the limbs of trees hit my speeding body, feeling like light feather touches. Coming into the middle of the forest as his black wolf form stood before me.

~ML~ What is it Sam?

-Meanwhile, Jake was talking through with Leah and Seth on todays patrol duties. Jake had requested they be more aware, and widen the patrol area. There was to be two wolves in form at all times for comunication reason's. Then the remaining one could have a rest bite. The battle had left Jake more aware of Nessie's safety, he knew Leah and Seth thought he was being extreme but he didn't care. Nessie was to be put in no danger as long as Jake could help it. They all headed towards the woods talking of the past events, and what they had pulled through as a newly formed pack.-

[Seth Clearwater]

*Seth listened to Jake as he gave his orders. He was nothing like Sam when it came to being alpha. Not that it was bad, they were both just so...different.* ~ML~ You got it Jake! Don't worry, I know you only wanna protect her.

*He heard Leah scoff as he glared at her* ~ML~ Leah, why are you always in a bad mood?

She ran off before answering as he looked at Jake and nodded. ~ML~ Going chief...

[Sam Uley]

Slowly the rest of the pack arrived and Sam spoke.

ML~ we need to talk about what is to be done about the old treaty. It's obvious it no longer applies, so what now? Do we come up with another?

Without thinking he began to pace back and forth as he waited to see what everyone else had to say all the while already coming to a decision himself.

ML~ You know my stance Sam. The only reason I helped those leeches is because Jacob imprinted...but, he is no longer in this pack. So does that still apply?

I watched as Jared, Quil, and Embry said their peace. Seemed we all had difference in opinions as Quil and Embry were liking those leeches just like Seth and Leah.

[Jacob Black]

-As Jake heard Leah moan yet again he turned and growled- ML- Leah go get your head out of your arse, and cool down me and Seth will take first patrol. If you don't stop this attitude when ever i make a decision, you know what to do!

-As Leah turned her back snorting as she slumped off, Seth and Jake looked at each other showing teeth. They were both getting sick of her mood swings. Jake understood them, but for him to have a strong pack. They all needed to have a strong bond, well that was Jakes opinion anyway. That's how things were going to be. Have each other's back at any cost.-

[Seth Clearwater]

As Seth ran patrol like Jake asked his ears listened all around. He had the best hearing of the all the wolves.

~ML~ Some battle huh Jake! I was for sure we were gonna have to fight, but Bella...that power thing. SO cool. I'm glad everything worked out, aren't you?

Seth was excited to be a part of the action, even though there really wasn't much action. Their presence seemed to scare the blonde vampire, Caius. It made Seth feel good.

[Sam Uley]

~ML~ I know Paul and I don't like it any more than you do but our priority is the safety of our people

Sam stopped pacing for a moment. Long enough to stand once more in front of his pack standing tall.

~ML~ We have no alliance with the Cullens nor will we side with them unless the situation affects us directly. When turning a human all must be informed and agree upon the circumstance but not be turned in our territory. La Push is still of limits to the Cullens unless given permission by me. Any and all rouge blood suckers will be removed from the area with force and disposed of unless the Cullens or Jacob takes full responsibility. Any questions?

I gave a nod of my big gray wolf head and snuffed. ~ML~ Any stray vamp that crosses our land gets it! Leave it to be some leech friend of the Cullens'. Do we have to tell Jake any of this? Because of Renesmee?

I asked only because I wanted free reign to kill any bloodsucker who wasn't a Cullen. The separation of packs sucked, but I understood Jake's stance. Jared and the others questioned Sam, I listened as they talked.

-Running the woods with his mate Seth, the moss although wet and stodgey it felt good under his paws. The smell of trees and bark when in wolf form, Jake could fully appricate it. The sents of the woods came together, and was a oasis for wolves. Free to be natural, let the wolf run free as it should.-

~ML~ It went as best as it could have gone Seth, no one was hurt or lost. Nessie is safe, and the Volturi will think twice on approaching again. I'm just glad it's over and we can all try to be as normal as we can.

[Seth Clearwater]

~ML~ It was fun though, but a little scary to see all those vampires with red eyes.

His ears perked up at a sound in the West. Stopping in his tracks as he listened closely. ~ML~ Sam's pack...they're close.

He watched Jake to wait for the signal of what to do. Seth didn't think it was going to be anything bad, least he secretly prayed it wouldn't. Sam and the rest had stood behind them with all the other vampires, even though it was only because Jake imprinted on Bella and Edward's daughter.

The pack emerged from the trees Sam in front, Jared on his right, and Paul on his left with the rest behind them. Seth and Jake had there guards up like they were expecting a fight but that all changed with Jared and Paul stopped walking along with the rest of the pack and only Sam proceeded first nodding a greeting at seth

~ML~ Seth

then he turned to Jake

~ML~ Jacob we need to talk

I stood on Sam's left flank as I walked with him, keeping a cool stance so nothing turned into a fight. I'd been warned it was a peaceful meeting. The area smelled deeply of vampire. It burned your nose like bleach and ammonia. I just listened and said nothing, looking from Seth to Jake.

I couldn't hear anything Seth or Jake said, it was only during the battle we all realized Sam and Jake were the only ones who could hear each other in wolf form. Weird how our magic worked like that. I awaited word from Sam.

-Howling for Leah to get with the pack. He told Seth to say back, and let Leah no further either when she got there. Jake stepped closer to Sam, guard up and ready for anything to come his way. Seth was like a hedgehog! his fur couldn't possibly stand any further up in warning.-

~ML~ What is it Sam? if your after Seth and Leah, they are part of my pack now. I have fully taken Alpha now and they are loyal. Neither have anything against you, as i don't we just see things differently around here.

-Turning his head as Leah approached, on seeing Sam she stood tall as she could. That display of pride and control, is what Jake admired about her most. Turning back to Sam as he spoke about Reassessing the treaty.-
